V4 Lessons Learnt: Sharing EU accession experience on anti-discrimination

As part of the project "Online Platform on the EU Accession Experience of the V4 Countries", this event will focus on the lessons V4 countries have learnt through their EU accession and Europeanization process about the adoption of anti-discrimination legislation in their home countries.

The two-panel workshop, which discusses the findings of research conducted so far in the project, will provide an overview about the development of the overall legislative framework in Slovakia and Hungary, and will discuss in further detail protected grounds, women's rights in the Czech Republic and the rights of people with disabilities in Poland.

Apart from discussing the findings among the four Visegrad partners, a further aim of the workshop is to start a discussion with the project's partners from the Western Balkans (the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (Serbia), the Institute for Development and International Relations (Croatia), the Albanian Institute for International Studies (Albania), the Foreign Policy Initiative BH (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Civic Alliance (Montenegro), and the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (Kosovo)) on the topic and sharing the Visegrad experience, the good and bad lessons we have learnt, and thus to help their Europeanization process.

The project entitled “Online Platform on the EU accession experiences of the V4 Countries” has been realized with the kind support of the International Visegrad Fund.
