Apply to be a Visiting Scholar at the Department of International Relations

The Department of International Relations is pleased to accept applications for visiting scholar positions on an ongoing basis. Applicants should have research agendas in subfields relevant to the Department's expertise, as well as to our research centers, projects and research groups.

Information for researchers intending to come to CEU IR with grants

- Preference is given to applicants demonstrating potential to link up with, and add to, research carried out in the department beyond any single faculty member

- Preference is given to applicants with potential to support MA student work

- Requirement of active participation in the academic life of the department

- Office space will be provided

- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis 

Please note that any grants to be hosted by the department have to be endorsed by CEU's Research Support Office before applications for external grants are submitted.

- Preference is given to applicants with potential to support MA and PhD student work

- Requirement of active participation in the academic life of the department

- Please note that we are unable to provide office space 

- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis

  • A research proposal 

The application should highlight the candidate’s training and research relevant to the planned stay at the IR department.
