Xymena Kurowska has been awarded a two-year Marie-Curie Fellowship with the Department of International Politics at the University of Aberystwyth (https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/interpol/). The aim of the project is conduct policy-relevant research that encourages reflexivity as capacity in border guard training, and thus add to efforts for more democratic European border security. Large part of the research will consist in fieldwork with practitioners and trainers of border security in Poland, Germany, and Ukraine.
