Update on CEU's Move to Vienna for Future Students
Today we announced our decision to move to Vienna from September 2019 to ensure uninterrupted educational activities.
You will know from previous communications from us that legislation introduced by the Hungarian government in April 2017 threatened our ability to continue operating as a foreign university in Budapest. We took all necessary steps to fulfill these new legislative requirements, but the Hungarian government still stands in our way.
We now turn our attention to a future in Vienna, capital of Austria and one of the world’s great university cities.
Registered in our new home, we will continue to offer our world-class U.S.-accredited degree programs. And we remain committed to ensuring that there are no barriers to talented students and scholars from across the globe joining us, through the continued provision of generous scholarships and tuition awards.
As we open this new chapter, we want you to know you may apply to us in full confidence. If successful in your application, you can plan on pursuing your degree in our international community. As a member of CEU’s incoming class for academic year 2019-2020, you’ll be making history – the first cohort of graduate students admitted to our new Vienna campus.
We are excited about our future. We hope you are too.
