The convention is held at the Ca' Foscari University in Venice, Italy.

IRES Professor Peter Balazs will be speaking at the Conference "South East Europe in a Multipolar Era" Inaugural Conference of the Germia Hill Forum.

The event is organized by the European Council of Foreign Relations and the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Kosovo.

Forthcoming IRES article in Security Dialogue

Next year Security Dialogue will be publishing IRES Associate Professor Paul Roe's article 'Is Securitization a 'Negative' Concept? Revisiting the Normative Debate Over Normal Versus Extraordinary Politics'.

In short, the article both qualifies and challenges some of the existing assumptions over the dangers of securitizing issues, and the normative commitment, therefore, to desecuritization.

IRES Professor Laszlo Csaba is giving the public lecture at the Celebration of Science, organized by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
