CEU-SUN Summer School on Comparative Regionalisms by IRES-DPP faculty

Youngmi Kim (DPP-IRES), Matteo Fumagalli (IRES-PolSci) and Amitav Acharya (American University, Washington DC) were awarded a grant to launch a Summer School on 'Comparative Regionalisms: Changing Forms of Governance in Asia, Africa and the Americas and the Transformation of Global Order', to be held at CEU in July 2012.

Seminar on Civil Resistance at IRES

Between 8-12 September the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict is running a four day seminar on Civil Resistance at IRES. The seminar includes various sessions, such as webinar, film screening and of course, discussions. The seminar touches upon civil resistance in various regions of the world, for example in South Africa, Palestine, Spain and TIbet.

CEU-Sabanci Joint Initiative: Erin Jenne, Matteo Fumagalli (CEU) and Betul Çelik (Sabanci) have been awarded a research grant to support the project ‘Conflicts in Eurasia and the Middle East’ during the period 2011-13.

CEU-Sabanci Joint Initiative: Matteo Fumagalli (CEU) and Meltem Müftüler-Baç  (Sabanci University) have been awarded a research grant to support the project ‘Turkish Foreign Policy towards the Caspian Region’ during the period 2011-2013.
