IRES Head Matteo Fumagalli and Alumnus Sergi Kapanadze, former Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Tbilisi State University organised a worked on Conflict Resolution and International Negotiations in the South Caucasus. The event, which brought together PhD and MA students from IRES, PolSci, Gender and Nationalism took place in Budapest on 15-17 April and in Tbilisi on 8-10 May 2013. Meetings in Tbilisi included visits to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Reintegration, the GRASS think tank (Georgia Reforms Associates), the Caucasus Resource Research Center, meetings at the EUMM Field Office in Gori and a visit to the check point near the Administrative Boundary Line between Georgia and South Ossetia.
