CEU Competition for the Best Thesis on the Politics of the Anthropocene
The Open Society Hub for the Politics of the Anthropocene (OHPA) is pleased to announce the Competition for the Best Thesis on the Politics of the Anthropocene. All students on BA and MA level at CEU and Bard College are eligible to submit their Theses for the Competition. The problem is interdisciplinary, and we will consider applications from students of any Department on a relevant subject. The laureates will receive grant awards between $1,500 - $2,500, which would enable them to turn their theses into research articles. The theses will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary Jury of the OHPA project members.
Please submit your relevant Thesis to Akos Kocsany (KocsanyA@ceu.edu) by June 19, 2025. The awarding decisions will be announced in July 2025. By October 1, 2025, the winners of the Competition will submit their articles to the OHPA. Later, they will report about submitting these articles to the established journals in the respective fields. The OHPA will provide necessary support and consultation to the authors and will be open to continuing collaboration with them within the project activities.
Established in 2023, the OHPA is a research center within CEU. See our website here: https://ir.ceu.edu/ohpa, for our upcoming events, programs, and opportunities.
